A content creator who runs a TikTok account under the name “kris.england.cookss” has shared a story about an encounter with a man he identified as Daejon Love. In the video, the creator alleges that the creator alleges Love made false claims about his professional football career during a visit to his restaurant. The creator said the interaction ultimately disappointed his young son.
The story centers on a visit to the creator’s former restaurant, “BBQ Blessings,” which he said was located in Vancouver, Washington. The creator recounted that his staff alerted him to the presence of a supposed professional football player. He initially speculated the visitor might be NBA star Damian Lillard, with whom he had a prior connection.
However, the creator said the man who entered was not Lillard. He identified the visitor as Daejon Love. The video shows footage of a man running on a beach, whom the creator identifies as Love. The creator claimed Love made several statements that he now believes were untrue.

In his narration, the creator stated that Love told him he had played for the San Francisco 49ers. Specifically, the creator said Love claimed he “was on the practice team.” The creator also recounted another claim made by Love, saying, “He said he needed to find a house for his horses. Like, he already had the horses and he was searching for the house.”
The creator described Love’s arrival in a “Z06 Corvette” while wearing “all the jewelry on.” He added that Love purchased a large amount of food and left a tip of “like $400 or $500.” The creator’s son asked for a photograph, which was taken outside the restaurant. The creator said this photo has since been widely shared, stating, “that everybody stole. All y’all stealing it.”
The video displays a news article headline that reads, “BBQ Blessings is bringing the heat to Vancouver,” which appears to confirm the restaurant’s location. The creator explained that after the visit, he took Love’s number and later contacted him to potentially feature him in a YouTube video. At that time, the creator said he had shut down his restaurant.
A voice memo from Love details his current status
The creator said he sent Love a link to a viral YouTube video and asked him to participate in the next one. In response, he received a voice memo. The audio of the memo is played in the TikTok. In it, a man’s voice says, “I’ve been in, uh, SoCal with, uh, some family and shit, getting some stuff situated. I’m taking some time off from football, but I’m still training like I am playing this year.”
The voice in the memo continues, “But I’m probably gonna play next year, to be honest with you. I think it’ll be better for me. But, um, shit, I ain’t been the motherf–king up there in a minute, bro. But I ain’t gonna lie though, towards the wintertime, I’m gonna slide up there and I’m gonna tap in with you and shit, and then we’ll make something shake.”
Throughout the video, the creator expressed regret over the impact of the encounter on his son. He said, “Through all this, my son finding out he didn’t meet a player actually made him pretty sad.” He concluded the video by saying, “I’m hoping through this he’ll maybe meet a player.” The disappointment of a false claim being revealed extends beyond sports, as an Austin woman confronted a man she accused of falsely claiming to be her Uber driver.
The video’s public caption reads, “How Daejon love got me story.” The comment section included various reactions.
