According to the video‘s creator, a woman on TikTok has publicly declared her fiancé will not be playing the upcoming video game Grand Theft Auto 6. In a video, she detailed specific in-game features she found objectionable and offered broader criticism of men.
The video, from a creator who appears to be Shelby Haas with the handle @diaryofasalesgirl, shows her speaking directly to the camera. She begins by stating her position on the game’s relationship mechanics. “In absolutely no human way is my fiancé playing GTA 6 after I just saw that you literally have to maintain a relationship with a girl in the video game and text her and she’ll get mad if you don’t text her back and you have to take her on dates and you can have sex with her,” she said.
She continued listing features, saying, “and there’s a nudist community and there’s literally like a part of the video game where your goal is to with her.” She then added, “And there’s strip clubs where you can get lepped.” The video’s on-screen caption reads, “idc I run a strict program my man is not playing gta6 idc.”
Creator expands critique to male population’s behavior
After her initial warning, the speaker broadened her argument. She advised viewers, “Don’t let your boyfriend or fiancé or husband play GTA 6. Absolutely not. No, no, no, no.” She then connected the game’s content to a wider trend, stating, “And I think the entire male population is lowkey going way downhill right now.”
She offered two reasons for this perspective. “Number one, why are you like in love with pixels? I feel like this is starting a whole like Black Mirror type thing,” she said. “But number 2 is like, I’ve been seeing those videos of guys trying to read the words like rendezvous or hors d’oeuvres, and they can’t pronounce normal English words that I could pronounce in 6th grade.” Throughout the clip, she used emphatic hand gestures, including pointing to her ring finger.
The video has sparked discussion in its comment section. One commenter wrote, “No cause that is so weird…” Another user stated, “This is also good for parents to know!” A different perspective was offered by someone who commented, “I do worse things in the sims.”
Other top comments included, “agreed that is so weird” and “I love that you keep the girlies informed thank you queen🥲🥲🥲.” A humorous reply to the original sentiment read, “My gta 6 girlfriend wouldn’t treat me like this.”
