A video posted to TikTok appears to show a confrontation inside a laundromat, beginning with one man filming another and accusing him of racism. The situation escalates, drawing in an employee who ultimately threatens to call the police on both parties involved in the dispute.
According to the video’s creator, the video opens with a voice immediately stating, “Racist f–k over here. According to the video’s creator, racist.” The man being filmed, who is wearing a green shirt, stands up and asks, “Yeah, what you going to do?” The filmer repeats the question back to him.
The filmer then narrates, claiming the man had been looking at him and his brother strangely since they entered the establishment. The man in the green shirt is then seen pulling out his own phone and beginning to film the person who was recording him.
Laundromat employee intervenes, threatens to call police on both parties
A female employee wearing a blue t-shirt steps into the frame and addresses both sides. She informs them, “He’s taking a video right now. You guys are on camera in here. You guys need to, need to stop or I’ll call the police and you can both situate this situation.”
When the filmer asks, “Are you serious?” she responds firmly, “I’m serious. I can call the cops on both of you guys.”
The filmer then attempts to explain his side, claiming, “Okay, well, he was— he started it first.” His brother adds, “They literally just walked in.” The employee acknowledges she saw the man doing his laundry but states, “the problem is you guys—”
The filmer interrupts, alleging the man in the green shirt “was coming up to us like if he was gonna hit me.” The filmer repeatedly asks the man why he was “all aggravated for.”
The man in the green shirt responds, “Your brother give me dirty looks.” The filmer retorts, “And so were you as soon as we got in here.”
The employee then attempts to mediate, stating, “It’s a free country. At the end of the day, you ain’t got to come up to him. He ain’t come in your space, you shouldn’t came in his space. That’s the whole thing. You could have stayed right where you at, say what you had to say, go.”
The filmer insists their actions were “For our protection.” The man in the green shirt replies, “That’s why he did it.”
The employee concludes the interaction by expressing her frustration, saying, “I ain’t got time for this. I had a rough f–king weekend and I ain’t trying to hear this b–ls–t about who looking at who. I guarantee that it wasn’t serious.”
