The customer, identified by the handle @southernshxt, appears to initiate the confrontation in the video, according to the video’s creator.
The customer, wearing a bright pink t-shirt, patterned pants, and red-tinted glasses, is seen standing in an aisle and facing the employee. The employee, dressed in a grey polo shirt and black pants, calmly responded to the customer’s provocations.
The customer repeatedly challenged the employee, asking, “Are you going to get any closer?” The employee responded, “I’m right here,” and then, “I’m right f–king here.” The customer then reportedly gestured towards the employee and said, “See, I got him. Yeah, yeah, do something.”
Verbal confrontation escalates in AutoZone aisle
The customer continued to provoke the employee, saying, “Go to the fake-ass airport. Yeah, termination.” The employee then reportedly told the customer, “Man, get the f–k out.” The customer appeared to threaten the employee, stating, “I called your supervisor, punk.” The public nature of these confrontations extends beyond retail settings, as seen when a young couple feeding pigeons in a San Francisco park was confronted by an older man.
The employee retorted by calling the customer a “bitch,” according to the video. According to the video’s creator, the customer replied, “I know. And what else? And what else? On tape. Fight.” The employee dismissed the customer, saying, “I don’t give a f–k about none of that. Fight.”
As the customer walked towards the front of the store, he asked, “Who’s the manager?” The employee, who was off-screen at this point, responded, “I’m the f–king manager.” The customer repeated the question, and the employee reiterated, “I’m the f–king manager.”
The customer then demanded, “Give me the manager’s name.” The video showed the customer turning to face the camera, holding a phone, and speaking directly to the person filming. He said, “Yeah, that’s how this hoe throw one at gate, bitch. I’m right here.”
He continued, “Yeah, punk, go where you from, bitch. They’ll chop that bitch up and a bitch know it.” The customer reportedly continued to rant, calling the employee a “Coward-ass bitch” and questioning, “Why you think you in America? Because you’re a f–king coward-ass bitch.”
Turning back to the employee, who appeared closer to the checkout area, the customer said, “That’s what I thought. Would you do that in Mexico? Yes or no? Would you do that in Mexico?” The employee again told him, “Get the f–k out.”
The customer responded, “You in America, bitch,” before raising his arms in what appeared to be a triumphant gesture. The customer then walked towards the exit, continuing to talk about “Nicaragua” and his cousin.
The video ended with the employee at the checkout counter, saying, “All right, man, let me look at my warrant, man.” The store interior featured bright fluorescent lighting, exposed metal ceiling trusses, and aisles stocked with various auto parts and accessories. Signs for ‘BatteryZone’ and ‘Duracell’ were visible on the back wall, along with a banner that read ‘FREE TESTING’.
