A TikTok creator who goes by “DIARY OF A BLACK WOMAN” with the handle @alijetoi said in a video that a Brazilian steakhouse covered her roughly $250 bill after she filmed mice running across the restaurant floor during her meal. The video’s caption reads, “Unbelievable. And that food was so good but I’m disgusted beyond words๐Ÿคฎ”

In the video, the woman said she had just “came home from eating with the rodents” and announced she would show footage of what happened. She said she would not name the restaurant because “they took care of the bill,” though she added that “initially they wasn’t trying to take care of the bill at all.”

She described the meal in detail, saying the service was “phenomenal” and the staff were “kind” and “pleasant.” She listed the meats she said were offered โ€” oxtail, chicken wings, sirloin, flank fillet, New York strip, salmon brought out and cut up without needing to be ordered, and beef ribs โ€” and said she told her dining companion this was the best Brazilian steakhouse she had been to, comparing it favorably to chains like Fogo de Chรฃo.

Footage appears to show a mouse running across the restaurant floor

The video cuts to footage shot inside the restaurant. A low-angle view through wooden table legs appears to show a small mouse running across a dark floor near a table with a white tablecloth. The narrator’s voiceover says, “Why did I look up and see this, which y’all see on the screen? And then the Frank come out.” The camera appears to zoom in on the mouse as it scurries across the floor.

Back in her home, the narrator is shown holding a light-colored dog, which she addresses as “boy” and says “he always want to be featured in my video.” She recounted telling the staff, “yo, y’all got company and y’all, y’all rodents and shit is popping out, y’all.” She said the manager came out and was “very apologetic,” acknowledging that “most places have rodents,” but she told them to “put the motherf–kers up though when I come around.”

She described the manager’s initial offer as a “little b–ls–t deal” โ€” a complimentary dessert for a birthday โ€” which she said she interpreted as the restaurant still expecting her to pay. She said she told them, “Take your $250 because that’s just about what it is,” then excused herself to the restroom to wash her hands and film a video. The manager’s initial offer of a complimentary dessert for a birthday is the kind of response diners get when they report hygiene problems, as a Longhorn Steakhouse employee says he filmed roaches and trash in an Atlanta kitchen before management dismissed his complaints.

She said she filmed the interior to document the location

The video shows a mirror selfie clip filmed in the restaurant restroom: the narrator, wearing the same brown top and glasses, holds her phone up to a mirror. On-screen text reads “Story time of how I just was eating with rodents ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿคฎ”. She said in voiceover, “They had f–king mice running across the floor while I was eating.”

She then explained she decided to record footage of the restaurant’s interior to document the location, since she hadn’t yet decided not to share the name. The footage shows a handheld clip walking from the restroom down a hallway with a dark runner rug, past a curtain tied back with a rope, into the dining room with white-clothed tables. She narrated, “Yo, why as I’m walking from the restroom… why the f–k is it a mouse in my pathway?”

She said she showed the manager the videos, including one where “they’re climbing up your f–king curtains and they’re going into a hole.” She noted they were the last customers and staff were cleaning up, with dishes audible in the background, and theorized that “these mice have their own schedule” โ€” coming out when the restaurant closes at 9 and staff are cleaning.

She concluded by saying the restaurant ultimately “end up taking care of the bill,” which she said is the only reason she isn’t naming the place. On-screen text reads “And of course we left a generous tip โœ…”. She ended by repeatedly asking, “What’s going on? What’s going on? What’s going on?” Diners who document food and hygiene problems on TikTok have confronted other restaurants with their footage, as a TikTok video shows a Longhorn Steakhouse sandwich with a pink raw-looking center.

In the comments section, several viewers questioned why she withheld the restaurant’s name. One commenter wrote, “Not gonna name drop- IMMEDIATE SCROLL,” while another wrote, “Taking care of the bill or not, SAY THEIR NAME!!!”

Others reacted to the footage itself. One commenter wrote, “girl call the health department,” and another wrote, “I would have screamed so loud they would have been tryna rush me out of there lol.” One commenter also appeared to guess the restaurant’s name, writing, “Nabressa I think.”
