The interaction in the video begins with a robotic AI voice from the Bojangles speaker, which asks, “Good. Would you like to try our new 9-piece bite?” The driver immediately reacted audibly in the footage, saying, “The blood of Jesus, no, no.” The AI voice then inquired, “Dice Español?”
Responding to the AI, the driver quickly stated, “No, a number 17.” The AI voice then continued the ordering process, asking the driver to choose fixings for the meal.

After a brief pause, the AI voice prompted the driver again, stating, “Please choose one more fixing.” The driver, appearing exasperated in the footage, exclaimed, “What in the world? Oh Jesus, fries.”
The AI voice then shifted to offering additional items, inquiring, “Do you want to add a drink with that?” The driver quickly declined the offer, responding with a firm “No” in the video. Drive-thru encounters captured on video keep drawing attention, as a woman in a car asked a person recording at a Starbucks drive-thru to respect Black women.
Undeterred by the initial refusal, the AI voice proceeded to offer another add-on, asking, “Would you like to add 6 donut bites? Made with real biscuit dough to your order for $1.99?” The driver repeatedly declined this offer, saying, “No. No. No.”
The AI voice subsequently asked, “May I get you anything else?” The driver again responded with a firm “No,” appearing to signal the completion of the order. The AI voice then stated, “Thank you. Your total is $10.91.”
Concluding the transaction, the AI voice announced, “Bootiful choice! We’ll see you at the window.” Immediately after this statement, the AI voice emitted a distinct, somewhat unsettling cackling sound, as captured in the footage. Ordering at a drive-thru can go sideways in stranger ways too, with a customer confronting a J Alexander’s Tampa manager over a hidden to-go box fee.
The driver reacted audibly to the cackling sound, stating, “What in the world? That is— I don’t like that. The blood of Jesus.” The video then shows the camera panning from the drive-thru speaker to the car’s dashboard and the driver’s hand, appearing to emphasize their reaction to the unusual drive-thru experience.
