In a TikTok video posted on August 30, 2026, the woman, who goes by the handle @intentionallynicole87, expressed deep frustration and grief over the overgrown state of Piedmont Cemetery, which she said prevented her from reaching her father’s resting place.
The video opens with a wide shot of a vast field filled with tall green and yellowing grass under a clear blue sky. The woman states in the video, “I am back. It is August 30th, 2026, and I am back at the Piedmont Cemetery in Greensboro, North Carolina.” She is heard giving instructions to someone off-screen before her voice breaks with emotion. “My feelings are hurt. He’s all the way in there,” she says, explaining that she lost her father when she was eight years old. “I literally have no way to see him and talk to him but to come out here, and I can’t see him.”
The woman, who identifies herself as 39, describes the cemetery’s condition as worse than it was two weeks prior. She recounts a specific attempt to get media attention for the issue, stating that a reporter from News 2 had reached out and set up an interview, but the meeting never materialized. “I haven’t heard anything else from her,” the woman says in the video. She emphasizes her personal need to connect with her father, stating, “39-year-old me don’t care about speaking to out loud 8-year-old me.
