Video shows confrontation over customer’s presence without ordering
The footage appears to begin with a white female manager cleaning a window while the woman filming immediately confronts her. “You’re bothering me because I’m Black,” a voice in the video says. The speaker continues, “I do my work here every day. I do my work here every single day.”
The woman filming states she had been at the location for one hour. “I can order something whenever I want. I’m not on your time. Bother somebody else,” she says in the video. She reiterates her accusation, saying, “You’re not gonna bother me because I’m Black and I’m minding my business. I’m doing my work. I’m doing real business.”
The manager appears to listen while holding a roll of paper towels. The speaker asserts, “It’s not a policy. I come here every week. I do my work every day. You’re not gonna bother me because I’m minding my business. I will order something when I’m ready. Leave me alone.”
The manager then responds, saying, “Sorry, ma’am.” The woman filming quickly replies, “No, leave me alone. Bother somebody else.” As the manager turns and walks away from the window, the speaker concludes, “It’s harassment.”
Video’s caption claims police were called over criminal trespassing

The incident has sparked discussion in the comments section, with viewers debating the customer’s right to use the space. One comment reads, “If you’re not buying their product, you have no right to sit in there and use their Wi-Fi.” Another states, “It has nothing to do with color it’s not a library nor a free working space it’s A COFFEE SHOP.”
Other comments appeared to side with the employee. “we all on the employees side,” one comment says. Another notes, “Sitting for an HOUR without ordering is ballsy.” A further comment suggests, “why do they always use the race card when you know they’re in the wrong.”
