A video posted to TikTok shows a heated confrontation at a Northern Virginia diner after a woman allegedly told another woman wearing a hijab to “go home.” The incident, which quickly drew widespread attention online, appears to have led to the diner taking action against the accuser. The video was posted by a user named Politicallypali.

The video opens with a woman, identified in the footage as Woman 1, speaking to someone off-camera. On-screen text reads, “Racism walked into lunch with us today.” In the clip, she can be heard saying, “You have no right to be in this country.” The camera then shows a second woman, identified as Woman 2, who is wearing a hijab and glasses. She asks, “Excuse me, can you repeat that, ma’am?” The first woman responds, “I’m sorry, I didn’t say anything.”

The second woman then says, “Oh, you didn’t?” The first woman replies, “No, no, now you didn’t say anything because you know you’re being recorded.” The woman in the hijab then asks, “I’m sorry, why do you have to feel that you have to record everyone? According to the video’s creator, why did you feel like— why did you feel like you had to tell me to go home, you racist, you racist piece of s–t?”

The confrontation escalated with shouting and profanity from both parties

A man who appears to be with the first woman interjects, saying, “Excuse me? Yeah, excuse me. There is no excuse for you. There’s no excuse for you. You are a racist.” The first woman then asks him, “What did you have to say, hon?” He replies, “Nothing.” The first woman then says, “You’re a racist. According to the video’s creator, you’re a racist pig. Proud American.”

Nothing. No. According to the video’s creator, take care of your racist b–ch-a– wife.” The argument continues with the man who was with the first woman saying, “Yes, let’s go. Let’s go.”

The woman in the hijab then says, “Because you’re a sick— you’re a sick You’re a sick person. That’s why this country— that’s why this— because of you.” The man with the first woman responds, “Oh, really? Really? You can go f–k yourself.” On-screen text appears during the exchange, reading “October 7th, 9/11, and all this.” The woman in the hijab states, “I’m not going anywhere.”

The man with the first woman then says, “You better get out of his face.” The woman in the hijab replies, “Oh, you get out of my face. You know, f–k yourself. You told me to go home. I was born here just like you were.” The man then says, “Actually, s–t off your face, your head. According to the video’s creator, go to hell, you racist piece of s–t.”

According to the video’s creator, the woman in the hijab shouts, “According to the video’s creator, you are a racist piece of s–t. According to the video’s creator, you are a racist piece of s–t. It’s people like you that make this country a s–t.” She then says, “I’m proud.” The man asks, “Proud of what? According to the video’s creator, of your racism?” She retorts, “That’s the problem. You invaded. You invaded countries like mine. That’s what you’re the problem is.”

Thank you for clearing a table for the restaurant, b–ch.” The woman in the hijab concludes by shouting, “You’re a racist piece of s–t!” The video ends with the two women walking away from the men. Your prejudice does not make this your country.”
