A recent social media video appeared to show a traveler expressing high praise for Delta Air Lines after an incident involving damaged luggage. The video, posted by a creator whose handle is @meganlvincent and who appears to be meganlvincent, detailed her experience with the airline’s customer service. On-screen text in the video read, “Delta, I could kiss you,” while the video’s public caption stated, “@delta I love you.”

The video featured a woman speaking directly to the camera, wearing what appeared to be a red turtleneck and having blonde hair. The setting of the video seemed to be an airport or a transportation hub, as visible concrete ceilings and brick walls suggested such an environment. The woman began her account by saying, “And this is why you fly Delta.”

meganlvincent explained in the video that after she had gotten off her plane and retrieved her luggage, she discovered that a wheel was missing from her suitcase. The video then briefly showed a black suitcase with a clearly visible missing wheel, illustrating the damage she described.

Travelers share varied experiences with airline baggage handling

The woman continued to describe how the issue was resolved. She stated, “All of a sudden, I go up to the woman and she gives me a completely new bag.” This positive resolution appeared to be the main reason for her strong endorsement of the airline’s service.

The woman concluded the video by saying, “I love Delta,” reinforcing her satisfaction with how the airline handled the situation. Her account highlighted a prompt resolution to her damaged luggage, which seemed to leave her very pleased with the customer service she received.

The comments section of the video appeared to show a wide range of reactions from other travelers, with some sharing similar positive experiences and others detailing less favorable outcomes with various airlines. Some commenters seemed to corroborate the idea that airlines sometimes offer replacement bags. One comment stated, “Honey most carriers carry replacement bags Delta ain’t special lol.”

However, many other comments described negative experiences with baggage claims, both with Delta and other carriers. One user recounted a contrasting experience, saying, “I flew Spirit and my bag came out missing a wheel. I filed a claim and received the fastest customer service response I have ever gotten: immediate denial.”

Another commenter shared a difficult experience with Delta specifically, stating, “Delta asked me for 96 pictures of verification and still denied my claim.” Similarly, another user claimed, “Delta destroyed my bag and gave me a gift card code for a new bag that was expired.” Delta’s baggage claims aren’t the only airline complaints travelers air online, with an Austin traveler saying American Airlines sent her a $12 voucher after a 6-hour delay and engine issue.

Amidst the mixed reactions, one comment posed a question about the nature of the replacement bag: “Was it a new bag or full of someone else’s things?” The diverse responses in the comments section appeared to highlight the unpredictable nature of airline customer service when it comes to luggage issues. One comment, seemingly from an account named “Delta,” simply stated, “My name is Delta. This made me happy.”
