A woman identifying herself as Thelma Louise, with the handle @iamthelmalouise, posted a video expressing deep distress after she said she was asked to leave an event for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in San Antonio. The video shows Thelma Louise, who has short, curly blonde hair with dark roots and is wearing a black and beige patterned jacket over a beige top, speaking directly to the camera from what appears to be a bedroom. On-screen text in the video reads “iamthelmalouise.”

Thelma Louise stated in the video that she still had “no answers about why I was asked to leave Ken Paxton’s event this evening in San Antonio.” She admitted that the incident was “upsetting for me” and “did make me cry.” She attributed her emotional reaction to “how hard I have worked for the Republican Party.”

She explained her involvement, noting that she joined the Republican Party “2 years ago when I lived in Nevada.” Thelma Louise emphasized that it was “not an easy decision for me to make,” but once she “made that choice, I put everything in.” She claimed she “worked my butt off” and said, “I was a Trump Force captain.”

Activist Displays Press Credentials to Underscore Involvement

To support her claims of dedication, Thelma Louise presented two press credentials in the video. She first held up a blue pass with a blue lanyard, which showed the text “2023 Texas Youth Summit” and “PRESS.” She stated that she last saw Ken Paxton at this summit.

Next, she displayed a multi-colored press credential with a yellow lanyard, identifying it as being from “the midterm Republican convention in Dallas.” She indicated that she was “on the media deck” at that particular event. Thelma Louise reiterated her belief, stating, “there’s no excuse for treating me that way, cuz I didn’t do anything.”

She questioned if she was “mistaken for someone else” but ultimately stated, “I don’t know what it was.” Thelma Louise clarified that she does not “blame any of this on the Republican Party, because they have loved me and they have welcomed me with open arms.”

Instead, she placed “100% responsibility for the disrespect that I received this evening” on “Ken Paxton’s campaign manager,” she said in the video. The video’s caption, dated “10.18.26,” reads, “I won’t even lie & say this didn’t hurt💔 I may never attend another political event again…#trending #rebuilding #life.”

Thelma Louise concluded by explaining her decision to tag TMZ in a previous video she made. She said she “did tag TMZ in the first video that I made because I ran into one of their reporters in the parking lot.” Her stated intention was to “find out what happened after I was asked to leave and find out who Ken Paxton’s campaign manager is.”

The comment section of the video included several reactions from viewers. One comment read, “Why Masta was so mean to me? 😭😭😭.” Another user wrote, “I know why! Raise your hand if you know why…🙋🏽‍♀️.” A different comment stated, “They’ll accept your vote, but will never accept you!!! Read this over & over & over, until it sinks in!!!!” Other comments included, ““I tap danced so hard! ”” and “I worked so hard.” One user also commented, “I’m confused as to why you’re confused.” Thelma Louise’s video is far from the only emotional car confession tied to Trump-era politics, as one crying woman said she cannot let Donald Trump outlive her while going through a hard time.
