A Florida customer who goes by the name “wooladytv” on TikTok, with the handle @wooladytv, said in a video posted to the platform that she found a cockroach in a Starbucks Strawberry Acai Lemonade she had just purchased. In the clip, which was filmed partly in her car and then inside a Starbucks location, she said she felt something come into her throat while sipping the drink and then discovered what she said was a roach floating inside the cup. A Starbucks employee in the video appeared to confirm the presence of a roach in the drink and offered the customer a refund, which the customer accepted.
In the video, the customer is seen holding a Starbucks cup containing a pink, iced drink with a green straw. On-screen text reads: “A cockroach was in my Starbucks drink. I am so angry. Wooladytv.” The customer said in the video, “I don’t want you to think I’m lying. I just picked up my order. I’m sipping, I feel something come in my throat.” She then said, “Starbucks, this h–e gave me a roach in my motherf–king strawberry acai!” The video’s caption reads: “@Starbucks I’m very angry I get Starbucks everyday #Wooladytv #fyp.”
The video then shows the car driving, with palm trees and buildings visible outside the vehicle. The dashboard of the car displays the time as “02:55” or “02:56.” During this portion of the clip, the customer said, “Mind you, this is not even my main Starbucks. My main Starbucks in Holiday, I started coming here because I can’t make it to the other Starbucks.” She also said, “Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God. Y’all serious right now?”

The video then returns to a close-up of the Starbucks cup. The customer removes the lid, and a small, dark object, which she identified as a cockroach, appears to be floating near the straw. The label on the cup reads “Gr Strawberry Acai Lemonade,” “No Strawbry Inclu,” “Item: 1 of 1,” “Total: 5,” “2:46 PM,” and “03-Oct-2026.” The word “yum!” appears to be handwritten on the cup. The customer said in the video, “Bitch, that is a roach. Look, you could tell I barely even drunk it.” She also questioned the handwritten note on the cup, saying, “What? How ain’t sh-t yummy about no roach?”
The customer is then shown walking outside a Starbucks location while holding the drink. Another woman in a camouflage-patterned tracksuit is seen standing near the entrance. The customer continued to express anger about the “yum!” note and the roach. She then entered the Starbucks and approached the counter.
Inside the Starbucks, the customer placed the drink on the counter and asked, “Hi, can I just talk to the manager?” She then said, “Yeah, give me the manager please.” The customer then told a Starbucks employee, who was wearing a green apron, “Y’all made me just swallow a roach and there is another roach in my drink.” The employee, after looking at the drink, appeared to express apologies. The customer insisted, “No, that is a roach.” The employee said, “That’s a roach. Okay, um, I’m so sorry about that. I don’t know how that went in there.” The customer then said, “And I spit one out.”
The employee then offered, “Can you remake it for you?” The customer declined, saying, “Remake it? No, no, I need my money to refund it.” The employee agreed, saying, “All right. So sorry about that, ma’am.” The video does not show what happened after the refund was agreed to.
Some viewers in the comments section of the video expressed disbelief or humor about the situation. One commenter wrote, “Yum, ain’t sh-t yummy about no roach”🪳😂 no fr tho!” Another commenter questioned the origin of the roach, writing, “u sure it ain’t come from yo car?” One viewer appeared to find the employee’s offer to remake the drink amusing, writing, “‘REMAKE IT????’ Im screaming 😭😭😭.” Another commenter referenced a different part of the video, writing, “set up a funeral.. i’m finna pass away🤣.” The video does not include any response from Starbucks corporate regarding the incident.
One commenter claimed to have seen information from another source, writing, “I just seen a Starbucks worker say those dry strawberries always have roaches in them! No more strawberry açaí for me 😐.” Another commenter wrote, “Happy birthday @Starbucks.” The video did not include any response from Starbucks corporate regarding the incident.
